My first official blog post! Please allow me to put this on the record to say that I tend to write as I speak...with plenty punctuation, errors and likely too many words 😉
I wanted to use this platform to offer more information as to "why" pepper spray. Personal safety is a right and a basic human need. We all have the right to feel safe. Unfortunately, we are not all in a position to afford some of the products out there. I truly believe that what we offer can offer a simple solution to an age-old challenge of "how" to carry your pepper spray. I want to make sure that it serves you in the way that it was intended to.
Needless to say, I have become quite passionate about this topic. Training solo is a regular thing for me and I realize that there are many people out there who experience the same challenges as I do.
I often hear of people who have fallen victim to crimes and were asked..."why were you walking/cycling/running/hiking alone?". This truly annoys every fiber of my being. No-one "asks" to get attacked in broad daylight, on a busy road, with lots of people around because you are "alone"! Such statements simply aren't fair to the person who had fallen victim to any attack.
We need to start changing the conversations around personal safety. We should not be relying on our already extended resources ie. SAPS. We should be asking how we could better equip ourselves both mentally and physically.
Our products were designed with you in mind. They were created for people concerned about their personal safety at home, in the car or even on a walk. One size does not fit all and we have created something to suit your needs.
